I cannot say enough things about Michelle and Mike and their absolutely perfect forest wedding. Seriously, these guys are friends that you want to have around forever.
They know how to party, and so does their wedding crew! Honestly, I can say this is probably one of the most fun winnings I’ve ever been to.
We first arrived at Grand Targhee, which is this gorgeous ski resort right at the top of the Tetons.
There is so much to do there, from mountain biking to skiing to tons of trails to hike in Targhee national forest!
My second shooters and I arrived at around 1:00, and we took pictures of these guys getting ready for their big day.
After getting ready photos, we walked around the forest and were able to see all of the vendors helping set up. It is crazy how many people it takes to build something so beautiful. There is so so much talent in the wedding world and I am so blessed to be surrounded by it every single day! Not to mention the overwhelming joy that surrounds every detail of the wedding biz!!!
After everything was put together, the ceremony finally started! It was such a romantic and glorious forest wedding! Their officiant created vows that were so personal to them and their life on the mountain. He had such a great speech. After the speech, they had a kiss to seal a deal, and then we headed up the ski lift to the top of the mountain.
For them, this was the culminating point of their forest wedding, because this was where they fell in love. Mike was a snowboarding instructor and Michelle was a skiing instructor. So naturally, they met and fell in love in the snow. They were surrounded by an incredible crew of people that absolutely love them. Everybody took pictures on top and, of course, popped the champagne! It was so surreal being able to ride up to the top and see the entire Teton landscape. The lighting was super harsh, but it was still such a beautiful day.
After we got off the lift, we finished up a cocktail hour, and Mike and Michelle chatted with some of their friends and family. We then had a beautiful dinner some hilarious speeches! Last of all, we ended the night with some dinner and dancing. It was so fun to capture all these incredible details, like the gorgeous bouquets or supportive wedding parties, for them.
I loved meeting Michelle and Mike and being able to honor their day. Tears of joy were definitely streaming down my face for these guys and I probably will never get over how perfect their love is! I loved experiencing this incredible forest wedding adventure and capturing the pure genuine emotions! Telling love stories is my thing and I would be overjoyed to jump into your love story and capture your timeless, genuine love. Wherever you are, the Great Smoky Mountains or the streets of Boston, let’s plan our adventure together!
