If you’re looking for the most amazing Tennesee wedding venue and two amazing people, you’ve found them- Marblegate Farms and the Hermans. Rance and Kimberly are so sweet with each other and love to have a good time. Marblegate Farms is packed with horses, acreage, multiple barns, and a beautiful river leading to a grandeur lake. I loved being able to see this property for the first time and being able to photograph these guys there. Kimberly has been excited about this engagement session for months, planning all the fun ways to bring out their unique and genuine love during our shoot.
One of my favorite parts of engagement sessions is getting to know the wonderful couple. It gives my clients opportunities to get comfortable with me in front of the camera and for me to learn what poses are best for them so on the wedding day we already know each other super well. I don’t want them to feel like I’m a stranger when I’m witnessing the biggest day of their life.
But let’s talk about The Marblegate Farm wedding venue, tucked back in Friendsville, TN. This place is absolutely incredible. The owner, Cheryl, showed us around their amazing wedding venue. During the session, she had fresh water for us and even helped hold a bubble blower so we could get the perfect boca for pictures. She was a joy to be around and so helpful with any questions that we had. The property is absolutely huge. There is so much there to look at and do- beautiful gardens, acreage, golf courses, you name it. The Marblegate venue is so unique, especially because when you rent the property, you get the entire property. You can do whatever you dream with it. It’s perfect for big southern weddings we all love. I took some landscapes so you can get a look at the whole venue.
Due to some rain and a crazy last-minute flight, we ended up needing to reschedule the session until the next day. So, we were shooting in a slightly harsher light than normal. The odds, however, were definitely in our favor. We ended up having amazing lighting. We were able to go see the entire property and have so much fun on our little adventures. There were so many landscapes to capture including flowering gardens, giant shady trees, gorgeous courses, astounding ponds, and rustic train tracks. I had Kimberly and Rance slow dance in the barn, and my country music loving heart skipped a beat. Later they ended their session by jumping in the water it was so rad.
Whatever it is, Kimberly and Rance are always down for an adventure. They had so many creative ideas about how to make this such a fun and unique session. I am over the moon that I had the chance to work with these lovers. They have incredible chemistry and they’re always having a blast together. This has to have been one of my favorite sessions ever. I have fell in love with Tennessee so so quickly. The beautiful venues like Marblegate Farms, and incredible people, have made it feel like paradise. I would be overjoyed to experience and capture your love. Call me and we will plan an adventure.
