Knoxville Engagement Session| The White Barn At Cruze Farm

Once we realized that we would be moving to Knoxville, Tennessee, I quickly began to familiarize myself with the best venues and locations to shoot engagement pictures. In addition to knowing the best locations, I needed the best representation of Southern couple’s love to capture. 

Alivia and Caden were the lucky winners of one of my Engagement Session Giveaways! Living not very far from The White Barn at Cruze Farm, this engagement session represents the essence of engagement sessions — capturing your love story in the way you feel it.

Alivia & Caden’s Session

The way I photograph a couple is unique. I don’t believe a photographer can accurately capture the love and dedication a couple has for each other without knowing the reasons the couple fell in love in the first place. That being said, talking to Alivia was the perfect preperation to capturing this dreamy engagement session.

Alivia and I spoke for hours about her love for Tennessee: the best places to live, the beauty the state has to offer, and her beautiful house overlooking The White Barn at Cruze Farm. Alivia told me about her son and her excitement to marry the love of her life. The White Barn at Cruze Farm was the perfect place to capture this couple’s love. 

About the Venue

The White Barn at Cruze Farm is about lighting and greenery.  This venue is a new establishment with a barn-like structure with large sliding doors. The venue is surrounded by trees and fields–it makes for the perfect southern feel.

What do you enjoy doing together?

We love dancing, going to church together, playing Connect Four and Jenga, exploring new places, and to try new foods!

Favorite things to do in Knoxville?
The Gathering Church, Cruze Farm ice cream and Pizza Barn, Seven Islands State Birding Park and exploring Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge.

How was the experience with me?
A dream! When we got in the car, Cade said “That was so much fun!” and “Celine and Tanner were both so genuine. It was the most fun we had ever had taking pictures.”

Celine made us feel so relaxed and comfortable. We both felt like we had known her for years and it made it easier [to take pictures]. She was so calm and Reassuring. It was the best experience we have ever had getting our pictures done. Celine was incredible to work with and I mean that with all of my heart!

How did you meet?
We met at the University of Tennessee. We started to hang out a lot. It quickly became an everyday thing for us to be together. Cade was charming and hilarious all at the same time. I could not get enough of being around him! I knew early on how much I loved him because I was practicing writing “Alivia Smith” on my papers when I was bored in class. God handcrafted our relationship and now we are happily

What’s your favorite memory together?
Dancing. Cade is the life of the party whenever there is music. He makes it sooooo fun!
