Manhattan is full of romantic and timeless spots, but Central Park may just be my new favorite! There are so many options within the 800+ acres of the urban park, giving you plenty of variety. For these Central Park engagement photos we found a spot close to The Loeb Boathouse. It truly was an oasis from the city with singing birds and dozens of row boats. It was stunning and I am ready to give you all the tips and tricks to having the most beautiful Central Park engagement photos!
With over 800 acres of park, you are sure to find at least one spot that resonates with you! Before your Central park engagement session you will want to do a bit of research to find your favorite place for your photos. This could be a park bench that you have a specific memory on, or maybe you want to scout a new location in the park that really stands out to you! And if you are not even sure where to begin, do not hesitate to ask your photographer!
As a Manhattan wedding photographer I love when my couples ask me for tips or advice on location. Scouting out new locations, or recommending tried and true spots, is seriously one of my favorite things! I want to serve you in every way possible. And that includes setting you up with the perfect location for your Central Park engagement photos.
Ladies! I know you are already dreaming up outfits for your Central Park engagement photos. A word from the wise, wear comfortable shoes. I have had too many brides to count, that wear uncomfortable heels or new shoes that haven’t been broken in yet. Be sure that the shoes you pick for your engagement session are comfortable enough to spend about an hour in. And if you are worried about your shoes, you can always bring a second to change into!
When planning what to wear, think about your personality! How do you like to dress, what’s your style? Just like painful shoes will make you feel uncomfortable, so will clothes that don’t fit your personality. I always suggest dressing up just a bit for engagement photos. For women that can be a pretty day dress, for men that can be a button down without a tie. But no matter what you chose to wear, make sure it’s your style!
I am a firm believer in having fun in every moment of life. You do not have to wear the perfect outfit, or have bridal worthy hair and makeup. You just have to show up ready to have a great time! When you do simply relax and let go, the photogenic moments will produce themselves. Your authentic self will show through and your love story will be best told.
As a Manhattan wedding photographer I focus on prompting my couples rather than posing. I want the authentic moment of your day to be captured in the way that you felt it. You deserve to have your memories caught on camera so that you can relive them for decades to come. I always have music, bad jokes, and enough hype to go around! All just to help you feel most comfortable in front of the camera.
I can’t wait for your wedding! But until then, let’s chat about your Central Park engagement photos! Like what you see? Check out more of my wedding portfolios.
