If you have been following along, you already know that I love a good adventure session! Traveling around the country and capturing timeless moments with amazing couples is my jam. And now that we are living so close to the East Coast I have amazing opportunities to explore so many new locations. Recently I drove out to the coast with some friends and captured the most stunning bridals at a lighthouse adventure session!

Sunrise

When you suggest meeting at a location for bridals at sunrise, you usually get shot down. And honestly, I don’t blame my couples, because that is way early! But, when my bride agreed to have this lighthouse adventure session early in the morning I was pumped! There is nothing quite as beautiful as golden hour, but there is something so special about early morning photos. They feel quite and peaceful, which just amps up the romance.

Land & Water

Something really special about having a lighthouse adventure session is that you get the best of both worlds. A lighthouse means that you are right next to the beach, so take advantage and get those dreamy beach wedding photos! These are absolutely timeless and so much fun to capture. Then just travel inland a bit, and you will find wonderful boardwalks and greenery. For this lighthouse adventure session we didn’t even have to go far! It was about a 7 minute walk and we had a totally new backdrop for my couple.

Stairs

If you are able to get in the lighthouse, DO IT! Lighthouses are full of old world charm and make for some really unique and interesting bridals. If not, you can achieve a similar breathtaking shot with any old stairs! Find some stairs with the character of old East Coast and you will bring another gorgeous element to your lighthouse adventure session!
