Creating Special Moments On Your Wedding Day

There are so many special moments within your wedding day, and I don’t want you to miss out on a single one! Sometimes they happen organically, which is precious. But other times, you have to create your reality! You have to take charge and foster those moments of emotion and love.

Recently I had a gorgeous bride create deliberate moments throughout her wedding day to show how much she loved her family and friends.  She planned gifts for her grandmothers, time to spend with just her mom, and so much more. Her efforts made her wedding day that much more emotional and powerful. And I couldn’t help but think, I want this for all of my brides! I want you to have these moments with the people you love most.

First Looks

Most often when I think of a first look, I just think the bride and her groom. Usually down the aisle, but more popular these days is a more intimate setting with just the couple. I adore these moments in the wedding day! They are just so raw and emotional, it’s hard not to fall even more in love with my couples when I capture them.

Daddy-Daughter First Look

Something that I am seeing more, but is still not super trendy is the daddy-daughter first look. It is seriously so tender to see your dads reaction to his beautiful girl on her wedding day! Something that this bride did during her daddy-daughter first look was give him a special tie with a baby picture of her on the back. It was a really special moment that wouldn’t have happened if she didn’t create it.

Bridesmaids First Look

Your bridesmaids usually carry you through wedding planning, as well as other life events before deciding to tie the knot. They are near and dear to you and have a really special sisterhood. Having a first look with your bridesmaids gives you the chance to surprise them and capture their genuine joy for you! It is such a fun and exciting memory to capture you and your tribe!

Bridesmaids Special Moments

Other than a big reveal for your bridesmaids, there are so many ways to make your girls feel special on your wedding day! A lot of my brides get all of their bridesmaids matching robes to wear as they all get ready together. This is so sweet and makes the experience that much more special!

Another super fun moment that my bride created was having a champagne pop with her bridesmaids! Who doesn’t love a champagne pop?! The pictures always turn out amazing, and it gets everyone giddy and excited for the rest of the day.

Women Who Raised You

Up until this point you have probably had some significant women in your life to help guide and advise you. They have been your rock, your shoulder to cry on and sometimes your best friend. You look up to them and want to include them on your wedding day. You want to create a memory that will last forever.

Mom & Me

My bride had the most sweet moments with her mom as she buttoned up the back of her dress and helped her get the finishing touches. Creating a special moment away from all the craziness of the day to just be with your mom can really ground you. Moms just have a way of calming us and bringing that sense of assurance. And let’s face it, that is exactly what you need on your wedding day!

Special Moments with Grandmas

One of the most meaningful parts of her wedding day was giving her grandmothers special gifts with sweet love notes. My bride created the most special moment for her grandmas by pulling them aside and thanking them for their continuous love and support. Both of her grandmothers were touched and felt so important to my bride. It was a beautiful moment and I am so grateful that we got to capture it.

You wedding day really is what you make of it. And I want it to be filled with emotion, laughter, happy tears and so much more!
