Picture this. It’s the day of your wedding, you’re getting ready to walk down the aisle. Your stomach is full of butterflies, and you look down at your dress and see a lipstick stain on your beautiful beaded dress. What do you do?! Luckily, you have your bride bag that has all the tools to get that lipstick stain out and get you right back on track for your big day.
That bridal bag of goodness is a must have for your big day, especially in case of emergencies that are sure to happen! I’ve been to 100’s of weddings and try and come prepared, but with my help, you’ll be ready! A bride bag is crucial to a successful day.
Personal hygiene items, deodorant, dry shampoo, makeup (powder in case you get shiny), eyelash glue and an extra set of lashes. These will come in handy after all the pictures throughout the day, especially after an emotional first look. That bride bag is going to save your makeup and keep you looking wedding day ready.
When you’re getting ready, make sure you’ve got a crochet hook for the buttons on your dress, bobby pins, needle and thread, and perfume. It seems a little silly, but a crochet hook will save all kinds of time when your makeup artist runs long, or wedding day nerves get to you. Having that hook in your bride bag will keep your day running smooth and on time.
For your belly, because I know eating is the last thing on your mind. A couple of granola bars (cliff bars are my favorite), gum, 5 hour energy (since I know you didn’t sleep), pain reliever and allergy medicine. Allergy medicine sounds silly, but one of my friends broke out in hives on her wedding day while holding her bouquet! Keep these items in a separate bride bag with your maid of honor for quick and easy access.
Your big day is just that, a BIG day. I always tell my brides to try and focus on one thing you want to be perfect and let the rest go. By having your bride bag packed and ready, you’re sure to have a smooth wedding day.
Another tip I like to give my brides is to make sure to bring some sort of stain remover in case something spills on your dress. Like lipstick, mustard from your lunch, or even your morning of mimosa. Your bride bag should have a little bit of everything to make sure you’ve got everything covered.
Let’s connect and make your wedding day a dream come true!
