I have been a destinations and videographer for several years now, and every May through July gets really crazy with how much I travel. But this time I did not mind at all because I got a chance to go to Maryland! Not only was I able to visit a gorgeous new place, but I also had the pleasure of photographing an old friend of mine on her wedding day! This Maryland destination wedding will blow your mind with it’s elegance and beauty!
I’ve known Meredith for over a decade now, which makes me feel so much older than I actually am! We met when she was only 11 years old. I have been able to see her grow up and become the most incredible person. Seriously, she is the most kind, and generous person you will ever meet and has touched so many lives. When Meredith asked me to photograph and film her Maryland destination wedding I was over the moon with excitement!
St. Michaels is filled with stunning wedding venues. Sitting along the Miles River, the quaint town has all the charm of old English America. You will find gorgeous historic buildings, little shops and even ferry rides! Meredith and Miles were able to find the perfect water front property to say their vows and celebrate their love with family and friends.
The decorations were incredible. Everywhere you looked there was some sort of detail that added personality and interest to the space. Both the ceremony and reception were outdoors, which can often make it challenging to add wedding décor because you are working with such a blank canvas with no walls. But, this wedding was absolutely elegant and proved that you can do so much with a large outdoor wedding space.
I especially loved the wedding archway for their ceremony space. It was a tall wooden square arch with lace draping from the top of the arch to the floor. The most elegant greenery and florals draped over the lace creating a truly dreamy effect. This whimsical pastel them continued throughout the entire wedding.
The reception space was a large white tent with dozens of tables decorated with darling personal touches. There were so many florals, meaningful items and fun elements. Some of my favorite pieces that were incorporated in this Maryland destination wedding were the floral chandeliers. They hung through out the tent with greenery and florals hanging down, and some even had beautiful little lights.
As a destination wedding photographer I always enjoy the décor and locations. I loved all of Meredith and Mile’s wedding details, but more than anything I really loved watching everybody having such a great time. These guys had such a blast at this Maryland destination wedding! From the hours they spent tearing up the dance floor, to a romantic motorcycle ride. They made the most of every moment of their wedding day! They even jumped into a pool for their send off resulting in the best pool party you could ever imagine.
Meredith and Miles where an absolute pleasure to photograph and film. I love getting to see old friends take such an amazing path as getting married. And a Maryland destination wedding made this wedding even more magical! I can’t wait for you to say “I-do” at your dream destination wedding! Let’s connect and chat about all the fun details and plans that you want photographed and filmed!
