I flew out to capture this beautiful Grand Teton cabin elopement at the end of September. I just remember being so excited to be able to work with these guys again. They are honestly some of the kindest people with the biggest hearts. The entire day was about 14 hours long, and we were able to meet all of their family and see these guys just bloom with love for each other throughout the day.
When we got to the dreamy location of their cabin elopement nestled in the Tetons, it was giant and absolutely breathtaking. It was huge, and right by a man-made lake. This Grand Tetons cabin elopement was the thing of dreams. As Tori got into her dress, it was so fun to see her mom and mother-in-law get emotional as they saw her. This is always one of my favorite moments to capture, it’s such a special moment for mothers and daughters. And when her dad saw her for the first time, it was so sweet.
Carl was so excited to be able to marry Tori, so when she came down to have a first look with him, his hands were shaking and he was already crying he was so excited. When he turned around to see her for the first time, he hugged her so hard. It was absolutely adorable. After that, we did some family photos right by the lake, and made sure that the lighting was super perfect for that. This Grand Tetons cabin elopement was the most dreamy location and was absolutely picture perfect.
After that we drove 3 hours to our location, in the Tetons and were able to photograph them getting married. They did a prayer circle as well as a sand thing in order to symbolize the beauty and unity of their marriage. So many of their family members were involved in the ceremony, and it was so sweet to see Tori’s joy when she realized that she was finally Carl’s wife.
We had some crazy weather that day, and the storm clouds got really thick, and it even hailed while we were doing pictures. But we kept going and exploring the mountain range and taking photos throughout the beautiful area. I then let them have a slow dance first dance by themselves while we grabbed some photos of them dancing. Then we ended the night at the cabin with a gorgeous homemade dinner by Tori’s dad. He had done all the bouquets, the greenery to set up and everything for their Grand Tetons cabin elopement and it looked absolutely beautiful. And boy, did the food taste good.
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they had their first dance, a few beautiful toasts, some daddy-daughter dances and mother-son dances, and then they ended the night with a sparkler exit. Their Grand Teton cabin elopement was simple, beautiful, and a day to remember. Looking to create some magic? Let’s chat!
