Pop the champagne, you’re engaged! I am so excited for you guys and I can’t wait to capture your wedding day. But before we get there, let’s talk about your engagement session. Having a session before your wedding day is one of my favorite ways to get to know you!

I can’t wait to get to know you! Engagement sessions are a great way for you to get to know me as a friend and photographer. This may not seem necessary, but trust me it is. On your wedding day you want your photos to turn out natural, capturing your love in its most raw state. But, that can be hard to accomplish when you are posing in front of a complete stranger. Having an engagement session provides a time that you can get to know me and become comfortable in front of my camera!

Poses

You have searched Pinterest and have found the perfect pose! You try it out and it’s a total flop. It feels awkward and the pictures just don’t turn out how you imagined. Don’t worry, this happens all the time! That is why an engagement session before your wedding day is crucial! You get to try out all those cute poses you have seen, learn a few more from me, and see what works for you! We are all so different, and not every pose works with every person and that is okay! Location

If you haven’t been able to tell, one of my favorite things is to travel! And I am guessing you wouldn’t mind an adventure too! When we do an engagement session together, you don’t only get gorgeous photos, but you also get to visit an epic location! I am a firm believer that getting you photos taken should never seem like a burden or chore. You should enjoy it as much as you would a date! Just think about it: exploring new places, dancing at dusk, romantic embraces and kisses. That sounds like a scene straight out of a Nicholas Sparks book!
