If you are looking for an adventurous photographer to capture raw emotion in outstanding locations, then I am your girl! I absolutely adore the opportunities there are to explore nature and capture timeless love. So, when this sweet couple told me they would scale a cliff to get the perfect shots in a waterfall, I was over the moon! This waterfall engagement session was more than I could ever ask for.

Vistas Mountains

This waterfall engagement session began on land! I took this sweet couple to a gorgeous spot with the Vista Mountains as a backdrop. It was a stunning spot because of the lush grasses and trees that filled the mountain scape. As the sun set they danced, held each other close and ran around like they were kids again!

Something that I like to do during engagement sessions is to capture your raw emotions by giving you prompts rather than poses. You deserve to have engagement photos that are true to you! That show your personality and the love you have for each other. With prompts like, “grab his hands a run as fast as you can” you will get more emotional images, than if I were to tell you to run and smile.

Waterfall Session

After getting a good variety of shots with the mountains we decided it was time to find those waterfalls! And lucky for us, we had to scale an actual cliff to get to them! Right after scaling a cliff (I still can’t believe that happened), we descended down to the falls. It was so fun to explore the area and get in touch with our adventurous side!

When we got down to the water, the waterfall engagement session really got started! These two hopped into the water and didn’t hold anything back. Under the waterfall, the water was shallow enough that they were able to romantically walk through the water to climb the water fall’s rocks. The rocks of the waterfall made the backdrop for their engagement photos so beautiful and interesting.

When they came back down from the waterfall it was time for the fun to begin! If you have been following along you may have noticed that I like to have my couples go kind of out of the ordinary with adventure sessions. So for this waterfall engagement session I had them dip down into the water for some passionate engagement photos as they embraced each other. Once we has captured all the romance, we had some fun as the couple slashed each other and just played around!

This waterfall engagement session was a dream! It was an absolute blast to be there and get to adventure a bit. I am so excited for their wedding next year, and all the exciting times until then.
